As a very proud Canadian, I am happy to report that we kicked off the day with some great fireworks last night (don't you just LOVE fireworks?!) and will spend the day putting tattoos on the girlie and having a fun barbecue and games with friends. And as someone who gets a lump in her throat every.single.time. our national anthem is played, I thought I would share a a funny little video I found which just inspires finger snapping instead. Enjoy, and think of us as we celebrate our beautiful country today!
Happy Canada Day from an Aussie, love the Video sent it to my Canadian Relatives.

ReplyDeleteThat was pretty cute! I'm currently exploring my options to become a dual citizen. With a Canadian mom, I can do that, but the window of opportunity is getting smaller. Still can't decide...perhaps I need to watch that video again. ;> Have a wonderful holiday!

ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day! Though I'm American, I lived in northern Ontario for 7 years...and I still tear up when I hear your national anthem! I thrived on "Hockey Night in Canada!" God bless you and your lovely, beloved country.

Awww man, I miss Canada! Spent 4 years there with my young family, have been back in the UK for exactly a year (this week) and the kids said tonight, "what's for dinner?" I said, "Dunno, it's Friday...Fish and chips?" they said; "Awwwww, I wish we could have SWISS CHALET! We miss Canada."
ReplyDeleteCANADA ROCKS EH? Happy (belated) Canada Day.
