If you haven't already seen this, it is a great video to celebrate our similarities and differences as Canadians and Americans (disclaimer: some would say we are all Americans, given that we are North Americans...I'm not so picky...!)

What a great little film, thank you for sharing. I've never been to Canada, but would love to go sometime. I do a lot of exporting to Canada with my company and I find Canadians very easy to work with. It takes great and generous people to share such a long border peacefully as we have for all these many years,

Canada is such a beautiful country, I've got some friends from there, they are really lovely, kind people
ReplyDeleteI spent my share of childhood summers driving with my family through Canada and camping....really seeing things up close and personal. Every May I threaten to move there until October to avoid our summers.
ReplyDeleteWe are all one people.
What a great story about Canadian and American History! Thanks for sharing this video. I've been to Canada once....when I was an infant...so I was way too young to remember. Maybe I'll have a chance to visit again someday!

What a wonderful piece of journalism. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many wonderful pieces about our relationship during the Olympics. There are a number of Canadians in the American media and it was nice to see them share their heritage. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for that video! I hadn't seen it before. Is it weird that I cried a little? I've been to Canada a couple of times. What I've seen was absolutely beautiful. When I was little, actually, all my life, when we would go visit my grandfather who was also not Canadian he would sing "Oh Canada" and his dog would "sing" with him. He had a beautiful deep voice and did the song great justice. He passed away almost two years ago and every time I hear that song I cry. I'm proud to be an American and proud that we have such great neighbors in Canada!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I grew up across the lake from Toronto and have wonderful memories of trips to Canada. Later I lived in NJ/NYC area during 9-11 and I never heard mention of "Operation Yellow Ribbon." It gave me chills to learn about that impromptu hospitality and service.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful country!
ReplyDeleteOh I had never seen this, this is great! I'm really looking forward to following your blog:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this Linda! I AM Canadian,

ReplyDeleteWell, my goodness. This video made me CRY! I am so thankful for the reminder of how connected our two countries are.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have went to visit in Canada when I used to live further north...it wouldn't have been so terrible to get there. Now I live ALL the way down in Louisiana...:~(
However one day....we will make that journey.
Plus we have a niece that lives there and she has always invited us to come.
Canada is on my "travel list." HA!
I just don't know WHERE to go to...such a big country.
Thanks for the video and support!
