Remember the lovely tour of River House (the home of Seasons of Cannon Falls) that I took you on this fall? Well, as promised, here is River House all decked out in its Christmas finery for you to ooh and aah over as I do every time I lay eyes on these pictures. River House has been featured many times over the holidays in decor magazines such as Country Living and this year, on the pages of Mary Englebreit's Home Companion magazine (below).
The following photos are from the website of the architectural firm that was responsible for restoring River House to the glorious state it is in today. Enjoy, and feast on the inspiring holiday decorating ideas and wonderful architecture of this magnificent home. The folks at Seasons of Cannon Falls are sooo good at what they do...

What a lovely home. Even the dog is "dressed up" to lay in good order LOL.
ReplyDeleteI like the fabric they used under the Christmas tree. Doesn't feel as empty as the ordinary plastic trees does.
Hope you have a great Thursday.
Love Elzie
What a dream home.... ahhh one day

Well, I could move right into river house and, I'm sure, live happily ever after. Thank you for sharing all that Christmas beauty.
ReplyDeleteOmigosh! That is one beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it. I must see if I can find the magazine that you mention.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an inspiring and incredible house
ReplyDeleteI think I can incorperate those glass panels to a spot in my home.
So serene; you can almost see the snow falling gently outside the windows.

That is such a lovely home. I would kill for a cloth like they have under the tree on the table.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely home!

Simply grand. I love that front hall stairwell...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your tips on my design dilemmas. I like your ideas of sticking to whites and creams and soft shades. That's where my taste lies - but how does that work with a crazy tree? Oh well, a few steps this year in the right direction. I will look forward to your "calmer" palatte if you have time...
Can't wait for your Christmas posts! I want more stuff for the house, but also want to take it slow, so I am looking for a few good ideas...
I love this house! It is so cute! Each room is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing...
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda, what beautiful & inspiring holiday homes. I've been reading Southern Living getting some inspiration to start my Christmas decor this year. I think I'm almost there!

I'm swinging around for another comment because I was looking at the photographs again. What a wonderful idea the third photo shows...the tree raised up for height, but making it so easy for stashing gifts below it. That's an excellent idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm oohing and ahhhing! I LOVE that home...I really love the exterior! If I win the lottery, that's the type of home I want! It's so nice to dream!

AHHHHH....how can one be expected to keep their chin off the keyboard when looking at those beautiful pictures. That is one place I'd love to see in person...and sit and stay a while.
